Having any surgery can be an overwhelming and sometimes frightening experience. Dr. Byrd's philosophy is that the more patients know about their Dallas nose surgery and their plastic surgeon, the more confident and less anxious they'll be both before and after surgery. The Dallas / Fort Worth area has many choices available for almost anything you'd want to do, including rhinoplasty surgery. It's up to the patient to sift through and separate the good from the bad, and we feel it's up to us to make that process as convenient and accessible for patients as we can.

Pre-Consultation

Patients from out of town routinely take advantage of our telephone or e-mail "pre-consultations." Be aware that this option is not limited just to patients traveling to our office for rhinoplasty in Dallas, but is also available to patients from the local area as well. If you're contemplating rhinoplasty surgery, please request a consultation online with Dr. Byrd or call our office at (214) 821-9662 to get pre-consultation, preliminary information about the procedure itself, the costs involved, and surgery schedule availability. We can happily supply that information via telephone call or e-mail at your convenience.

Stefanie Terrell is our Consultation Coordinator and is the person patients work with the most from the first phone call and throughout the first full year post-operatively. Stefanie schedules all of Dr. Byrd's office appointments and manages the pre-surgery process for patients. She's not just a front office person, but is an active patient advocate and source of information for new and experienced patients alike. Her gentle spirit, medical office experience and knowledge mirror Dr. Byrd's own practice and care philosophy.

New Patient Paperwork

The bane of any new patient at nearly any medical office is the long, involved medical history and personal demographics paperwork that has to be filled out prior to your meeting with the medical staff. That's usually done in a cramped, over-crowded waiting room where you have little access to some of the necessary telephone, address and medical history information. Instead, we offer patients an opportunity to avoid the hassle of writing on a hard to handle clipboard by having the new patient paperwork available here on our Web site.

Imaging

You wouldn't dream of buying a car without seeing it first. And while it's great to see other patients' before and after pictures, that doesn't tell you how you're going to look after surgery. Through computer imaging, Dr. Byrd creates a series of images allowing patients to have a peek at what their expected results will be after rhinoplasty surgery. About a week after the consultation you'll receive the e-mail images from Dr. Byrd.

Travel Program

Many of the patients that come to Dr. Byrd's Dallas, Texas office are not from Dallas. Nose surgery patients come from other parts of Texas, other states, and even other countries. Being a well-known plastic surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty, Dr. Byrd sees patients from both coasts and many places in between. Patients from Mexico, South America and elsewhere make the trip to Texas to consult with and when recommended, to have surgery with Dr. Byrd. His staff makes arrangements to facilitate commuting patients' travel plans by setting up consultations outside of our regular Tuesday new patient consultation days. They also provide information about nearby hotels, shops, restaurants and which highways to avoid during the rush hour. Out of town patients are made to feel like the welcomed guests they are and get a small taste of what's known as "Southern Charm and Hospitality – Dallas style"!

Financing

Our office accepts Visa, Mastercard, cash, checks and third party financing. Payments for the anesthesiologist, surgery center and over night stay facility are coordinated through Dr. Byrd's office to simplify patients' payments. Whatever method is used for payment, Dr. Byrd's staff develops a partnership with each patient to assure that patients are prepared when each pre-surgery due date rolls around.
